Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay upfront?

No. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial — no credit card required. You only pay when you are ready to go live.

Is billing per term or per year?

Billing is per term by default. You can also choose to pay per academic year upfront, which gives you one term free on Professional and Starter plans.

Can I import my existing student data?

Yes. EduNest accepts CSV imports for student records, guardian contacts, and fee histories. Professional and Enterprise plans include assisted migration support.

Is there a limit on staff accounts?

No. All plans include unlimited staff accounts — teachers, bursars, admin staff, and support roles — at no extra cost.

What happens when I reach the student limit on Starter or Professional?

We will notify you when you are approaching the limit. You can upgrade to the next plan at any time and only pay the difference for the rest of the term.

Do parents and students pay separately?

No. Parent and student portal access is included in your school's plan. Parents and students create free accounts and link to your school.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is stored on Supabase (backed by AWS) with encrypted storage, row-level security, and daily backups. Your school's data is completely isolated from other schools.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel any time from Settings. Your data remains accessible for 90 days after cancellation so you can export everything.
